Class journal (PDF)

The course edition's complete journal in one PDF: course header, participant list, day-by-day session topics with room for the instructor's signature, an attendance grid and pass results — ready to print and sign.

When to use

When you need a paper class journal for an edition — for an inspection, the certification body, or the center's own records.

Where

  • In the course edition's Agenda tab — the "Download class journal (PDF)" button next to "Download agenda (PDF)"
  • URL context: /partner/courses/:courseId/instances/:instanceId
  • Roles: Owner / Admin / Manager (the Agenda tab is not visible to the Instructor and Employee roles).

Step-by-step

  1. Open the course → the edition → the Agenda tab.
  2. Click "Download class journal (PDF)". The button shows a progress indicator while the file is generated.
  3. A file named dziennik-<course_name>.pdf downloads, in the language currently set in the panel.

What the PDF contains

Section Content
Header Center, edition, course no., dates, venue, standard, hour count, instructors.
Framework programme Only if filled in on the course settings.
Participant list No., full name, subgroup — deliberately without PESEL numbers or dates of birth.
Session topics Day by day: times, topic, instructor and an Instructor's signature column; break and lunch blocks are skipped.
Attendance A grid: rows = participants, columns = days; + present, N absent, U excused; a "Total X/Y" column. Beyond 14 days the grid splits into further tables.
Pass results Exam, grade, examiner, date — consistent with the completion report.
Footer Place and date, the center head's signature and stamp, generation date.

Fields & validation

No form — the journal is composed from data already entered in the system (agenda, attendance, grades).

What happens / outcome

  • A landscape (A4) PDF is generated and downloaded right away.
  • The document can be generated any number of times — it always reflects the edition's current state.

Edge cases & errors

  • No agenda: the button works, but the "Session topics" section will be empty — add an agenda so the journal has topics and instructors.
  • No attendance marked: the attendance section shows "No attendance marked." — fill in the attendance.
  • An edition without full dates: the attendance-grid columns show only days where attendance was actually ticked.
  • Generation failure: "Failed to generate the class journal."

FAQ

  • How is the journal different from the agenda PDF? The agenda PDF is the schedule alone; the class journal adds participants, attendance, pass results and signature spaces — it's a document to keep and sign.
  • Does the journal contain students' personal data? Only first name, last name and subgroup — no PESEL numbers or dates of birth.
